A Grievance Procedure for Clergy and Licensed or Accredited Lay Ministers exercising
ministry within the Church of England
|
Under Authority, the report of a General Synod working party reviewing discipline,
recommended that there should be a grievance resolution procedure for clergy.
Such a procedure was developed by the Ministry Division and approved by the House of Bishops in 2003. Shortly afterwards the Central Readers' Council asked whether this might be extended to include Readers. After a discussion with the Bishops' Committee for Ministry, it was agreed that the procedure would encompass clergy and all licensed or accredited lay ministers. A copy of the procedure is available at www.cofe.anglican.org/lifeevents/ministry/dracsc/grpodlm.doc or from the Ministry Division, Church House, Great Smith Street, London SW1P 3NZ or your diocesan office.
