Christine Bostock

Chris began her career teaching Religious Studies in an inner city secondary school. After working for the Christian charity Toc H she moved to work in a residential secure unit for adolescents. Most of her subsequent career has been with Social Services in Kent and London working with most client groups. Whilst in social services Chris completed a Masters’ Degree in Inter-professional Health and Community Studies at Canterbury Christ Church (CCCU). She also has a Masters’ in Theology at University of Wales, Lampeter where her dissertation was on the pastoral care of people with dementia.
In 2007 Chris was appointed to act as Dementia Ministry Adviser within the Canterbury and Rochester Dioceses and Rochester Deaf Ministry Adviser.
Chris has given well received lectures on Spirituality within Dementia and is currently working with the Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDCse) which is based at CCCU and is Chair of the Dementia Spirituality Interest Group.
Chris is a Reader within Rochester Diocese and acts as one of three Deputy Wardens. She is a member of the Conferences Committee of the Central Readers Council. She is also trustee of Toc H UK and of Talbot House, Belgium. |
